130kg x3 front squat. I'm making this post to say one of two things: 1: If you are a weightlifter, the back squat and the front squat are both assistance exercises to the snatch and clean & jerk. Your goal in them is to provide more strength to the competition lifts, not to squat more only for the sake of squatting more. You should always train your back squat and front squat to the full depth that you are capable of. It makes no sense if you are doing snatches and clean & jerks at full ROM while training the front and back squat only to parallel as if you were a powerlifter. 2: Increased ROM does typically make you lift less, but it is necessary to train at full/increased ROM depending on the spoort. Increased ROM can also work as a great support to competition lifts, such as deficit deadlifts, and they also can elicit more muscle growth. 3: With 2 being said, partials can be extremely valuable in training, not only to help your nervous system get used to heavier weights, but also to improve tendon strength and reduce the risk of tendonitis.
