Exercise Selection For Hypertrophy Vs Strength _ When programming for hypertrophy vs strength there is probably a key difference that you need to always remember when selecting exercises. This is that when selecting exercises strength they need to be directed at a specific skill/movement you want to get strong at and for hypertrophy we need to select exercises that best stimulate the target muscle. _ When it comes to strength, we must always remember that strength is specific to the skill. This means that if we want to get strong at squatting then you need to be selecting exercises that are specific to the squat. This means that within your programming somewhere you need to be squatting with heavy loads and low reps. Obviously we don’t just squat and that's the end of it though but with our remaining exercises we still need to be selecting exercises that best translate into improving our squat. This may look like exercises that help address weak points or have a similar movement pattern. _ For hypertrophy we are looking at which exercises best stimulate the target muscle. Muscle hypertrophy is a result of stimulus and not specific exercises. This means we now have a wide range of exercises to select from. Two key things to now consider are the stimulus the exercise provides to the specific muscle and the fatigue cost of that exercise, otherwise known as the stimulus to fatigue ratio. Ideally we want to maximise stimulus but minimise fatigue generate as it allows for more efficient and effective training. With that being said, some of the most highly stimulating exercises come with high fatigue but this doesn’t mean they should be totally avoided. _ If you’d like to work in person or online with one of our coaches then click the link in the bio to see our options.

Quando associamos o treino aeróbio + musculação, conhecido com treino concorrente, também pode ser uma excelente forma de emagrecimento, podendo até mesmo potencializar seus resultados. Motivos pelos quais a musculação é um excelente modalidade para o emagrecimento ( perda de gordura corporal) : 1. Aumento da massa magra; 2. Reposição do glicogênio através da "quebra" de gordura; 3. Aumento do metabolismo de repouso; 4. Gasto energético através da construção do músculo (hipertrofia muscular); 5. Gasto energético através da síntese hormonal ( GH , testosterona, etc). 6.
