What if I told you that as your coach, I don’t care how much weight you’re lifting 🤷🏼‍♀️ Of course, I’m always going to cheer you on as you hit PRs, but the technique you’re using will always be much more important than the weight you’re lifting. 🚨🚨Execution is everything. What I care most about is that you’re moving with optimal technique, staying pain free, making progress over time, hitting your own personal goals, and are happy AF. Technique is the most important part of your training program. Consider it your foundation. - This foundation is what will allow you to make long term progress and prevent injury down the road. Without this foundation, progress is either going to stall or you’re going to break down. - You cannot skip this step. Prioritize great technique always. Whether it’s day 1 or you’re 10 + years in- your technique should remain top priority. I’m the coach that’s going to tell you to strip weight off the bar. Let’s rebuild this. Day 9 ✅ Fighting the elements and forgetting to start my watch again. So the weather today was grand wasn’t it? No that’s right it was an utter disaster weather wise. I hit the hill a little early with heavy legs after cycling in. The initial stages went well since I was sheltered by the trees but when I hit Millstone hill it all went pear shaped. Howling winds and super low clouds meant I was running into driving winds. The zig zags were the usual battle. The streams I got to paddle in yesterday were waiting for me today so my slightly damp feet quickly become saturated again. I did the loop on Black Hill and then pushed towards the halfway point. Hermit Seat was next and the approach path was completely flooded so I just blasted through and past it to Oxen Craig and the halfway point. I passed the summit and took shelter to change my socks and a half destroyed Compeed. Then it was time for loops. On my second descent from Mither Tap I stopped to quickly eat and never started my watch again resulting in losing 600m of running. On my final climb of Mither Tap I met and we headed down to try my finish route for tomorrow. We forgot to get a selfie on the summit so Ami created one for us 😊 Run Stats Distance: 42km Time: 5 hours 28 mins Pace: 7 mins 44 secs per km Elevation gain: 1590m Join me in supporting by donating at the link on my bio. FEED YOUR GLUTES 🍑 Something I’ve been learning over the past month of training is that if you want to be seeing more muscle growth and gaining more strength then it is CRUIAL your are eating enough and making sure you are fuelling your body with nutritiously dense food- especially protein to help with muscle repair! This is something I’ve really been focusing on achieving for the past few weeks as having a busy schedule can mean that sometimes you are not eating as much as you need to be!
